Re: Required COVID-19 Safety Training
Date: August 11, 2020

As we look ahead to the return to campus for many of our students, faculty, and staff, we would like to invite you to attend one of the planned COVID-19 safety training presentations offered via Zoom through the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) office.

Faculty and staff who plan to teach or work on campus this fall are required to attend a session prior to returning to campus. We are also asking faculty and staff working remotely this fall to complete the training so that you will be prepared in the event you need to come to campus, and because the information is broadly relevant. All students will receive similar training through the Office of Student Wellness. (Please note: Faculty and staff who have already taken the training this summer are exempt from attending one of these presentations.)

For your convenience, the training sessions will be offered twice weekly now through September, on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. EDT and Fridays at 9 a.m. EDTPlease pre-register for one of these sessions. Each presentation will cover the same content, led by Suzanne Howard, director of EH&S, with time allotted for questions at the end.

As a reminder, all faculty and staff—those who will be working on campus this fall and those who will be working remotely—should complete the COVID-19 Acknowledgment form, which can be accessed on the new Fall 2020 Documentation Dashboard.

We also encourage you to revisit our faculty and staff FAQ, which has been updated with additional answers following last week’s webinar, before you attend one of the safety training presentations.

Thank you for doing your part to ensure a healthy start to the fall term.
