Re: Information about activity at the pool this morning
Date: January 23, 2024

At approximately 8:30 a.m. today, Facilities staff were alerted that a freon leak had occurred at the pool building, which is currently being renovated. A small amount of freon was spilled.

Staff from Suffolk Construction, the contractor for the project, pulled the fire alarm in the Keohane Sports Center. They also alerted 911. The Wellesley Fire Department and the Wellesley Police Department responded.

At 9:12 a.m., the police and fire departments advised that the building was safe for occupants to return. No injuries were reported.

Please contact the Facilities Department if you have any questions about this incident.

Thank you.
