Monday, March 11 –

  • A History of Traditional Irish Women Singers and Songs Since the 1950s | 7 pm | RSVP on MyCWS – Mary McPartlan, Fulbright Scholar, will present an illustrated lecture specifically looking at a selection of songs collected in Ireland in the 1950s with a theme and focus on six female influential singers of that era onward, with performances of selected songs.

Tuesday, March 12 –

  • University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce | 12:30 pm | RSVP on MyCWS Join the admissions representative from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce to learn more about this one-year degree program in finance designed to complement a liberal arts education.
  • Women, Sex and Health Care — Hope for the 21st Century | 7 pm | RSVP on MyCWS Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, will speak about how advances in, and access to, reproductive health care have expanded opportunity for generations of women. She will address the domestic policy and political climate, as well as the global context for this work.

  • Out for Undergraduate Leadership Summit | Applications due March 15 The Out for Undergraduate Leadership Summit will empower, motivate and inspire exceptional lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (“LGBT”) undergraduate leaders to develop their individual potential and to create positive change.  The Summit will bring together a select number of high-potential leaders, with a range of interests and post-collegiate goals, and provide focused leadership training and support. Students will build deep and purposeful relationships with other future leaders in the LGBT community, and will continue to engage in ongoing development and support after the Summit.
  • Wellesley Michèle Respaut French House Fellows Program | Applications due April 15 The Michèle Respaut French House Fellows program provides an opportunity for students to learn about French/Francophone politics and culture through placements in government offices, political and public interest groups, media organizations, private groups, and research and cultural institutions. Fellows from the Wellesley-in-Aix program will be selected to work in France or another francophone country for up to eight weeks during the summer. Fellows receive a stipend to help defray living expenses and an additional stipend for housing.
