Tuesday, April 16 –

  • Internship Pre-departure Orientation | 4:45 pm | Tishman Commons – This is a MANDATORY orientation for students receiving money from the CWS to participate in summer internships or service opportunities. Students will hear guest lecture presentations, connect with other students heading to similar locations, and learn about how the CWS will support them over the summer.
  • Retail Career Panel | 5:30 pm | RSVP on MyCWSTwo Wellesley alumnae who have extensive experience working in the retail industry are coming to campus to speak with students about their industry and career paths. Susan Wojewoda ’96 (American Studies), works at Keds as their Director of Licensing and Marketing, previous work at Lily Pulitzer and Zefer; and Samantha Ernst ’07 (Economics, W&G Studies), current MBA student at HBS, experience from Lily Pulizter, Ann Taylor, Theory, and J.P. Morgan. Question and answer portion to follow the panel.
  • Summer Venture in Management Program (SVMP) Webinar | 7:00 pm | Online SVMP is a one-week management training program at Harvard Business School designed to increase diversity and opportunity in business education. SVMP has been a success for over 30 years, in large part to the referrals we receive from our networks.

Wednesday, April 17 –

  • Massachusetts Educational Recruiting Consortium (MERC) Career Fair | 9:30 am – 3:00 pm | RSVP on MyCWS The Massachusetts Educational Recruiting Consortium (MERC) is an annual fair that brings in employers from across the US. This year over 70 organizations have already registered for the career fair. This is an excellent opportunity for students/alumnae interested to pursue a career in education to network interview and job search.

Thursday, April 18 –

  • Working in Government – Part 2 | 4:30 pm | RSVP on MyCWS Come and hear from alumnae about their experiences working in government.
  • Honest Talks: Consulting | 6:30 pm | RSVP on MyCWS  Come hear from Wellesley students about how they got their start in the consulting world. They will offer tips on finding internships and jobs within this industry.

  • The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Morningside College Junior Fellow | Application Deadline April 23 The College seeks applicants for openings of Morningside Junior Fellow for the academic year 2013-2014. The appointees will join a committed group of College Fellows and administrators in building the ethos, traditions, and programmes of the College.  Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor degree in a humanities field; (ii) native fluency in English; and (iii) an aptitude for and interest in teaching undergraduate students; (iv) demonstrated interest in and engagement with current affairs; and (v) a passion for supporting and stimulating students’ intellectual development and understanding of global concerns. Teaching experience and knowledge of the Chinese language may be helpful but are not essential. Appointments will be made on contract basis for up to two years commencing August 2013.
