Tuesday, October 15 –
- Law School Reception at Brandeis University | 5:30 pm-8:30 pm | Levin Ballroom, Usdan Student Center – The Hiatt Career Center (Brandeis University) is hosting the first Brandeis University Law School Reception. This event will be an opportunity for Brandeis students and alumni, as well as students from select Boston area schools, to meet representatives from law schools where many Brandeis students and alumni apply. Space is limited to 10 Wellesley students/alumnae so please RSVP.
- Northwestern University Virtual Information Session | 6:00 pm-7:00 pm | Online – Northwestern University’s master’s degree program in Higher Education Administration and Policy will be hosting a special virtual information session for current undergraduate students. Wednesday, October 16 –
- Graduate Study in the U.K. (University of Edinburgh) | 12:30 pm-1:30 pm | PNE 139 – Tom McGlew, of the University of Edinburgh, will be available on Wednesday, October 16 to discuss opportunities for graduate study in Great Britain. He will explain how graduate work in Britain has evolved in the past years, how ‘taught’ and research-focused masters degree programs differ, what British universities look for in American applicants, how long it takes to complete a degree, costs and financial aid, and how to choose the program that is right for you. In addition, he will discuss graduate study specifically at the University of Edinburgh and answer questions both about Edinburgh and the British system generally. Please RSVP on MyCWS.
- CWS Sophomore Workshop | 4:30 pm-5:30 pm | Green Hall 442 (CWS library) – PRIOR REGISTRATION REQUIRED! Come learn about resources and opportunities available for sophomores through the Center for Work and Service. We will be discussing topics such as resumes, cover letters, internship applications, interviews, CWS programs/events and more!
- NYU Online Information Session | 7:00 pm-8:00 pm | Online – The New York University Center for Publishing will be offering an upcoming online information session about its Summer Publishing Institute. RSVP to learn more about their six-week, immersive summer program (June 2 – July 11, 2014), developed specifically for recent college graduates who are interested in careers in the book, magazine, and digital media publishing industries. - Red Cross Blood Drive | 9:00 am-3:00 pm | Tishman – Join us for Wellesley’s annual fall blood drive! Help out either by donating or by volunteering to assist the Red Cross. To make an appointment to donate, please visit redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code 958 or call 1-800-REDCROSS. Appointments are recommended! Interested in volunteering? Shifts will be an hour long, with 2-4 volunteers per shift. We would really appreciate your help! Please use this Google Form to sign up.

- Dr. Vivian Pinn ’62 Lecture on Women in Medicine | 7:30 pm | SCI 277 – Dr. Vivian Pinn ’62 (retired Director of the Office of Research on Women’s Health at the NIH) will be speaking at Wellesley College on Thursday October 17th at 7:30 pm in the Science Center, Room 277. The title of her presentation is “Perspectives on the Evolution of Women’s Health and Women in Medicine: Advances and Challenges”. A dessert reception in Sage Lounge will follow Dr. Pinn’s lecture.
