Below are this week’s upcoming events and deadlines at the CWS. These listings and more can be found in MyCWS.

Monday, November 5th –

  • Peace Corps Information Session | 4:30 pm | Register on MyCWS – The Boston Peace Corps Recruiter is holding an information session to allow prospective and current applicants to ask questions about the Peace Corps, the application process, and everything in between. If you are interested in learning a new language, gaining international experience, and working with communities in need, then come join us.
  • Mini Law School Forum at Brandeis | 6:00 pm | Hassenfeld Building, Sherman function room, Brandeis University – The Brandeis University Hiatt Career Center has extended an invitation to Wellesley juniors and seniors to attend a “mini” Law School Forum. Fifteen law schools have already registered. Please RSVP to Andrea Dine at Brandeis: dine@brandeis.edu.
  • First Year Workshop for Athletes | 7:30 pm | PNE 139 – Workshop designed specifically for first year athletes.
  • Senior Career Workshop for Athletes | 7:30 pm | PNE 127 – Workshop designed specifically for senior athletes.
  • Internship Workshop for Athletes (Sophomores & Juniors) | 7:30 pm | PNW 212 – Workshop designed specifically for sophomore and junior athletes looking to finding an internship.

Tuesday, November 6th –

  • Vieques, Puerto Rico Wintersession Application Due | NOON – Open to sophomores, juniors and seniors with conversational Spanish skills and an interest in environmental or biological sciences.
  • Global Engagement Internship & Application Information Session | 4:30 pm | PNW 212 –Looking for a summer internship? Come and learn more about the Center for Work and Service Global Engagement Internship Program.

Wednesday, November 7th –

  • Global Engagement Internship & Application Information Session | 12:30 pm | PNW 212 – Looking for a summer internship? Come and learn more about the Center for Work and Service Global Engagement Internship Program.
  • Medical School and Residency Panel – What are they really like? | 7:00 pm | SCI 277 – Come learn what Medical School is like from Wellesley Alumnae. Co-sponsored by the Center for Work and Service and the Medical Professions Advising Office.

Thursday, November 8th –

  • Beinecke Scholarship Information Session | 4:00 pm | Green Hall 442 (CWS Library) – The Beinecke Scholarship Program is open to juniors who are currently majoring in the arts, humanities or social sciences and plan to attend graduate school.
  • Lecture by UK Graduate School Researchers in Psychology and Sports & Exercise Sciences | 4:30 pm | PNE 239 – Drs. Beattie and Lloyd will be on campus to discuss their research, as well as study abroad and graduate opportunities at Bangor University, in the UK,  specific to students interested in Psychology and Sports & Exercise Sciences.
  • Business School Panel Presented by Harvard, Yale, and Wharton | 6:00 pm | Register on MyCWS – Come meet senior admissions representatives from Yale SOM, Wharton and HBS. They are coming to Wellesley to signal interest in YOU and to help you explore whether an MBA can be part of your plan for the future.

Friday, November 9th –

  • The Business of Doing Good BLC Panel | 4:00 pm | Register on MyCWS – A panel discussion with Wellesley Business Leadership Council Members about how careers in business offer unique opportunities to have a positive impact on the world, while also enabling women to build invaluable skills and experience that translate equally into public service, non-profit, and entrepreneurial success.

  • CWS Travel Grant & Habitat for Humanity Trip Application Deadlines | NOON – Habitat for Humanity application details; CWS Travel Grant application details.
