It’s October and at the CWS that means we’re preparing for the 2013 Tanner Conference, which will take place all day on Tuesday, October 29th at the Science Center.
Tanner creates an incredible opportunity for students to connect what they learn in the classroom with service, internships, fellowships, study abroad, and research experiences that occur on and off-campus. Students can network with each other and learn about all of the great opportunities that exist at the College, in Boston, across the US, and around the world. This event is a great resource as you start thinking about summer internships, service, and other activities you may want to take advantage of in the coming months.
Another great event leading up to the conference is the Tanner Photo Contest. All students are eligible to submit photos that reflect the spirit of the Tanner Conference (e.g., photos taken during internships, service experiences, study abroad, etc…). Any student can submit (even if you’re not presenting at Tanner)!

- Students can submit up to 3 photos
- Photos must be in .JPG format, must not be larger than 10 megabytes, and must have a resolution of at least 300dpi
- Deadline for submissions: Wednesday, October 16th, 11:59pm EST

A committee reviews the photos and gives awards to a first place photo and two runner-up photos. We hope you consider submitting!
