Officially launched today, this group will focus principally on the career development of Wellesley alumnae–past, present and future. This LinkedIn group, provides a robust forum for actively connecting and engaging with alumnae in every field and sector all over the globe. The Center for Work and Service (CWS) at Wellesley will actively contribute to the group by sharing relevant articles, blog posts from alumnae, and job listings. We will initiate discussions on a variety of job search and career related subjects.
While the information that CWS curates and posts will be informative and valuable, equally rich will be the posts that you generate! You may be wondering what kinds of topics on which to post:
- If you have a career-related question and are looking for ideas, post it.
- If you are looking to fill a job, post it.
- If you have a tip or story to share about how the Wellesley Network has assisted you or how you have used it to assist others, share it.
- If you come across an interesting article related to networking, job searching or anything career related, post it.
Your stories and insights will make the Network that much more powerful and enriching.
Included as part of the Wellesley Alumnae Network are 20 subgroups. It was very difficult to narrow the list to the 20 LinkedIn allows. We hope you will find a category that meets your interests and become a member, thereby proving the opportunity to actively engage with others in your chosen subgroup by sharing targeted career information, ideas and challenges.
We hope this new online network on LinkedIn provides expanded opportunities for you to both contribute to and benefit from this incredible network of Wellesley women. Help us spread the word to other Wellesley students and alumnae about joining the group. As membership increases, so too will the value of the network, given additional contributions and perspective.
For more detailed information about how to effectively use the LinkedIn features, check out our new webinar on the CWS website. We will also be sharing it with you via the LinkedIn group. As always, if you have ideas as to how we can make this network even stronger, let us know.
