Originally from New York City, Ayelet hopes to pursue Rabbinic ordination following their undergraduate education.

“I’m excited to be able to immerse myself fully in the community of my new home. I hope my Paulson fellowship guides me towards a more holistic approach to community building, one which takes into account all forms of natural life.”

Bijon (she/her)

Hello, my name is Bijon, and I am from Rochester, Pennsylvania! I am currently studying abroad in South Africa. I am double majoring in Africana Studies and Education.

I’m excited to continue to explore the natural world around me. My study abroad location is Cape Town, South Africa. This area allows me to explore a whole new environment and culture. While being abroad, I hope to learn more about the sustainability efforts of electricity in South Africa.

Janavi (she/her)

Janavi is a Media Arts & Sciences and Chinese double major. She’s studying abroad at Yale-NUS in Singapore this semester, where she loves traveling, sailing, rock climbing, and exploring the city!

“Making sure I spend time taking in and really connecting with the natural environment is one of my favorite things as a Paulson International Study Fellow. Learning about conservation efforts for local ecosystems like tropical forests and coral reefs has also reinforced my commitment to environmental initiatives and given me a community I really appreciate.”

Jessie (she/her)

Hi there, this is Jessie! I’m from Beijing, China, and I’m currently studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence in France. I’m a France and Political Science double major and I’m loving my time here in France!

My study abroad destination, Aix-en-Provence, is a small city that’s very close to nature in the south of France. Therefore I have ample opportunities to explore the nature around me. French people are also very ecologically aware and we have a lot of conversations about it. So I think being a Paulson International Study Fellow is the perfect opportunity.

Nimo (she/her)

My name is Nimo, I am a Data Science major with a particular interest in social justice. I enjoy taking walk and trying new foods.

The most exciting aspect of being a Paulson International Study Fellow is the opportunity to bridge cultural and environmental knowledge gaps. By engaging with local NGOs and communities, I can collect data that not only enriches my own understanding but also contributes to combating ignorance on a more global scale.

Reyna (she/they)

Hello, my name is Reyna and I am a Salvadoran-Mexican first-generation student. I’m very passionate about the environment and being ethical.

The most exciting thing about being a Paulson International Study Fellow is being able to set aside some time to focus on Brazil’s cultural aspects and the natural environment. I love being able to journal it all and have it saved for future Reyna!

Samantha (she/her)

Hii!! My name is Samantha and I am a current junior majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies. I love to express myself through my art and hope to bring you along this journey with me.

Being a Paulson International Study Fellow has allowed me explore Denmark from a more deeper perspective. During my time in Copenhagen, I hope to learn more about their culture and sustainability efforts. As a Fellow, I hope to show others what I have learned along the way.

Sylvia (she/her)

Sylvia is a junior double majoring in English and Italian currently studying abroad at the University of Bologna, Italy. She hopes to learn more about sustainability efforts in Italy, as well as the impact climate change has had on the country.

The most exciting thing about being a Paulson International Study Fellow is the Global Gatherings. I love seeing where everyone one is, and comparing our experiences abroad both with the universities and in the natural setting.
