Ciao a tutt* di Bologna.
My sit spot is the public park adjacent to the dorm I am living in this semester. This week, while sitting on a bench it began to drizzle. The rain made the smell of the earth brighten and the leaves dewy. In this park, there is the remnants of a stone wall, which, at the base, I noticed some mushrooms growing out of. These stones were cool to the touch and a bit muddy after the rain. The sounds that stood out to me the most were the conversations of the people around me and the sound of the rain on the ground. At first it was difficult to relax because of how noisy the park was snd its vicinity to the street, but after a few moments of focusing on the tree in front of me, I felt calmer and was able to focus on the textures of the bench that I was sitting on, the stone wall, the grass under my feet.
I love your sketches (especially the little mouse!) Glad to hear that you were able to find a moment of calm, even in a busy park 🙂
