It took me a while to get used to walking through dark empty rooms because the school was trying its best to save energy. I find using sensor lights to be a smart way to save energy, and this project allows me to learn that my university generates its own power which is very impressive. I also find windmills in so many places nearby which shows that Germany is trying to create its own power. Although this is what I thought, it seems like the effort isn’t enough as Germany still purchases powers from nearby countries (I learned this from an environmental debate on campus).
Hi Phosreyneang,
Lights are always on at Wellesley, so it’s so interesting to hear about energy saving initiatives at other institutions! Do they have paper towels in the bathrooms there?
It’s very cool that the university generates it’s own energy, though Germany still imports. Love the sketchbook!
