When I first arrived in South Korea, I found myself searching for new things, which were, of course, not hard to come across. From language, to culture, to mannerisms, everything was different. Some of these new things I had already known about, be it by reading through endless experiences of other foreigners or even the teachings from my Korean Professor. Nonetheless, first hand experience is always different.
To offset all the new foods, languages, and experiences, I sought out a “sit spot” that sparked nostalgia in me. I found this sit spot on a wrong turn my first day of class, and I can’t wait to feel, hear, and watch the seasons change in this spot throughout the semester.
