In the spirit of acknowledging internet memes, I present the first weekly “weekend wag the dog” post, featuring pictures taken during the week’s many dog walks. For the inaugural post I have our new family dog, Clifford, just finishing his first week with us. Here he is, in all his glory, enjoying the fantastic March weather.

My research focuses on the pattern of evolutionary change in humans over the past two million years, with an emphasis on the early evolution and dispersal of our genus, Homo. My work spans a number of areas including comparative anatomy, genetics and demography.
