My Weekend: Track & Traditional Chinese Medicine

This weekend was sunny and beautiful. I spent most of Saturday in Maine at a track meet. The meet was luau themed and we got leis instead of medals for placing. At the end of the meet there was a hula hooping contest and an informal dance party. It was probably the most fun meet I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to a LOT of track meets.

The throwers took a picture after they ran a 4X100 meter relay (specifically for throwers). SO MUCH FUN to see them run. They killed it!

And… I crashed. Time to go home to Wellesley!

On Sunday, I had lunch with my independent study professor and some classmates from the Chinese/East Asian Studies department. We reminisced over our years studying Chinese together. My independent study partner and I also practiced our Ruhlman presentation for everyone after lunch.

Our presentation is about Traditional Chinese Medicine and the ways in which we can use TCM philosophy in our everyday lives to be happier and healthier. I’m really looking forward to presenting on Wednesday morning. The topic is so fascinating; I could talk about it for days!
