Funny Costumes and Flowers

Wow, what a week it’s been! Flower Sunday, ZA Applicant Party (theme was Crime an Punishment, lots of CS programming, ZA Brunch, and the welcoming of new members in ZA!!

I’ll start off with Friday night. I was hanging out with some of the ZA girls in our house, and Julie, Amisha, and Roshan (a few of the amazing girls in ZA) were hosting a WASAC (Wellesley Association of South Asian Cultures) Big/Little Sister Dinner upstairs. The house was so beautiful, and they invited some of us to try some delicious Indian food! I left a little while after that because I was running late to meet my boyfriend, Justin, (he goes to BU’s 7-year med program) at Milestone (fantastic restaurant here in ‘the ville,” which is what we call the main town right at the edge of campus. We also went with my friends, Laura, Claudina, and Jackson, our friend from MIT. It was a fabulous, very low-key night.

Good thing it was because Saturday was ZA’s applicant party. All the people “teaing” for ZA, which means that they are applying to be in ZA, have to dress up according to the theme, with only one rule: you may not look cute or pretty. The costumes werefabulous!!! Here’s just a sneak peek at some of them:

I had such a great time with ZA as well as some other friends from MIT who came over for the party. Afterwards, I went back to my room, and my roommate, Emily, and I sought comfort with ramen noodles and a wonderfully hilarious episode of How I Met Your Mother.

The next day was Flower Sunday, one my absolute favorite traditions of Wellesley. I was paired up with a first-year from Palo Alto, CA named Sonali. She also happens to be in my CS class. I had a great time getting to know her better over breakfast. I can’t wait to introduce her to my other Wellesley sister, Cassie.

Sunday afternoon was our ZA Brunch. Here’s a picture of the club, as of right now. Kinda small, but we’re growing!

Now I’m off to do more CS Programming (I’m trying to recreate Whack-a-Mole on the Android phone)! Till next time!
