The One with Thanksgiving Break, The First Snow of the Season, and Pre Finals Fun

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since my last blog post since we had Thanksgiving Break last week. We have a lot to catch up on! For Thanksgiving break I went back home to NYC (again), but this time I brought my roommate and hallmate, who are both really good friends of mine. They both live pretty far from Wellesley and weren’t able to go home, so I wanted them to see NYC for the first time and spend Thanksgiving there. We toured around my favorite places in Queens, went to the Bronx Zoo, spent Thanksgiving with my extended family and neighbors, and ate lots of delicious food! It was a really great time.

Hours after arriving back on campus after Thanksgiving Break, it started to snow here at Wellesley. This was the first (real) snow of the season, and needless to say it was *magical*. Of course I had seen snow before, but Wellesley in the snow was absolutely something out of a story book. It quite literally looked like the scene in Narnia when they open up the chamber and see the hidden world.

The very next day when a few inches had settled on the ground a big group of friends and I went to play in the snow! We went sledding down Sev Hill (a must do Wellesley tradition!), made a snowman and snow angles, and had a snowball fight. We then went to my friends room to warm up with some hot-cocoa and dining hall cookies! We were even featured on Wellesley’s social media accounts since the student photographer happened to be there at that time!

This week Thanksgiving fell super late into the year, so between Thanksgiving and Winter break we only have about 2-3 weeks and much of that is Reading Period/ Finals Week. This Tuesday is my last day of classes and then we enter Finals Season! To unwind before this presumably stressful time, my friends and I decided to head down to Boston! We went to Faneuil Hall Marketplace/ Quincy Market to see some pretty holiday decorations/ lights, eat some really good food (The lobster mac- n- cheese!! So good!), and just do some shopping. It was a super great time, and a much needed break! Wish me luck on my upcoming finals!
