Give a Little More

Hello lovelies,

In my last post I forgot to wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year! We are now in the Year of the Rabbit, which, sounds just delightful to me. I have, however, been advised that in the year of the rabbit we have to be careful not to become too indulgent. I hope all of you who celebrated had a fun holiday!

On the topic of holidays, let's chat about Valentine's Day, which is coming up next Monday. Do you have a valentine? Any fun plans? I'm not sure what I will be doing but maybe some of my friends will be my valentine this year since my boyfriend and I can't be together. Maybe we can go out to a romantic dinner in Wellesley? That doesn't sound too bad. I'm going to get to work on cards for my friends.

Luckily, tomorrow I am having a Valentine's Day floor program combined with the 4th floor RAs. We have tons of chocolate (thank goodness), baked goodies, and obviously lots of cards and crafts. This really cute blog gives me some excellent Valentine's Day inspiration!

Hearts and chocolate aside, show somebody (anybody!) you care about them this month by giving. Try and cheer someone up with a random act of kindness every day (this especially applies to those of us trapped indoors by all this snow). Smiles are contagious.

Some fun things going on this week at Wellesley:

1. Literary Trivia tonight in the Pub with Society Zeta Alpha

2. St. Buxom's Day (a Wellesley tradition) in Tower Court this Sunday night

3. President's Day 3 day weekend coming up!

4. KSA (Korean Student Association) presents KSAirlines Cultural Show on Friday

5. Blue Notes, one of Wellesley's top A Capella groups, has a Valentine's Day Concert with the Harvard Din and Tonics on Friday

Have a nice and relaxing week!

xoxo,

Kara

p.s. I tried out for the hip-hop group, Freestyle, on Monday night with a few of my friends. We didn't make the cut but we definitely learned some cool dances! Check them out on YouTube
