Fall Breaking

I know I’m a little late on the blog this week, sorry about that. Today was my “Monday” because we had a three day weekend for our Fall Break.

The time off was lovely, but honestly, most of us just used the time to catch up on work – I drafted a paper in bed, myself.

It was about time for me to get some work done by Monday though. On Fridays, my classes end pretty early, which of course means that my weekend begins a little earlier than it probably ought to.  On Friday night I went to an open-mic performance hosted at MIT. College open-mics and talent shows in and around Beantown tend to be pretty good; there are a lot of really talented young people here.

On Saturday, I had a little girl time – a friend and I got our nails done and had a bite to eat in Boston. Later that evening a group of my friends and I went to a party hosted by the local chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

I eased back into business mode on Sunday by working on my resume, which has been kind of challenging for me! Some upperclassmen gave me a lot of help though, and I think I’m just about ready to take my document down to the Center for Work and Service so that they can help me find an internship for the summer!

In short, I had the sort of weekend that a lot of Wellesley Women try to have most of the time – productive, relaxing, and fun.

Performers at the open-mic I went to!
