Yes, I’m talking about books again

Hi everybody!

Greetings from Wellesley’s library where, once again, I am stuck for most of my Wednesday. I had two classes in the morning – Math on Zoom and then Chemistry in the Science Center (I actually had a test in that class, and I think it went well!). Afterward, I went to Lulu to get some packages, went back to the Science Center just in time to hear the fire alarm going off there, and then went into the library to do some work, where I still am several hours later right now.

The thing is, I love the library. There are a lot of hidden spots around here that you can explore when you want to stretch a bit and move during a study break. Today, on one of my breaks, I ended up in the Slavic books section of the library (which I didn’t know existed), and I actually found some books by Bulgarian authors there! I have read those books in Bulgarian, but I am interested in seeing how the English translation is. So I checked them out an hour ago, and I plan on reading them in the next couple of weeks. I will tell you more about them when I finish at least one of them (maybe next week?).

The weekend was actually rather busy and fun. I haven’t been out of campus in some time, so on Sunday, I went to Boston with some friends. We went shopping and got some delicious food. Then, later that day was the First Year Formal – a party with music, food, and Valentine’s Day-themed decorations and photo booths. Honestly, I really loved seeing everyone’s interpretation of what you are supposed to wear to a ‘formal.’ People were wearing suits, shirts, dresses, full-length gowns – there was a little bit of everything. Here is a picture of my friends and me:

That’s it from me for the week. It’s that time of the semester when everybody is tired and preparing for midterms. I am honestly really excited about Spring Break to get some rest! Stay safe!
