TwitterTrails has gotten a facelift, and we’ve moved on a new server but the http://twittertrails.com/ alias still works!
Some of the key changes are highlighted in this post.
The homepage of TwitterTrails, where you can browse the most recently investigated stories and claims, has an updated look. The page now highlights the spread and skepticism of stories with the two meters on the left, showing how high or low these two measures are for each story (read more about what spread and skepticism mean in this blog post). The system also makes an algorithmic determination of whether a claim is likely true or false, based on how it was perceived by Twitter users. A blog post about this will be coming soon.
Now when you view a story, the first thing you will see is an automatically generated summary highlighting useful information (more detailed information can be viewed in the “overview” tab on the left):
You we’ve also added a button to easily share a story from TwitterTrails on Twitter!
In addition to the updated home page, the story archive also has an updated layout. Here you can view some of our showcase stories, search through stories using tags we’ve created, or do a text search based on the name and what was investigated.
