2020 Ted Wang Fellow for Shanghai, China

大家好! Hello everyone! My name is Michelle Geller, and I was the 2020 Ted Wang Fellow for Shanghai, China! I’m now a senior at Wellesley, double majoring in English and Chinese, and my career interests include business, technology, and design. Although I was unable to study and work in Shanghai this past year due to the coronavirus outbreak, I was fortunate enough to still have the opportunity to network with four industry professionals! With the ongoing pandemic and the reimagining of “normal” it has required, I was able to collaborate with the EALC department on how to adapt the networking project to the digital landscape. 

In the following blog posts, you’ll learn about my networking meetings (conducted over Zoom) with four employees in the company I’ll be working for, each in different fields and in different stages of their careers. I chose to focus on people at my upcoming company because I was eager at the opportunity to learn from others who have come before me.
