When you start a PowerPoint slideshow on classroom instructor station Macs, it uses Presentation Mode, automatically undoing mirroring, which causes problems projecting.
Solution: in PowerPoint 2011, select Ribbon > SlideShow, of the two options, Presenter View and Mirror Show, use Mirror Show.
