In June of 2022, the Wellesley College Library will be launching several new services to allow users to find and discover the materials offered by the Library. (See the July 2021 announcement about FOLIO.)
Library users will have two new ways to explore materials and keep track of their library accounts:
- A new library catalog. Use the catalog to find or browse materials the library owns or subscribes to, see what you have checked out, find a reserve book, and renew your books. The new library catalog will be powered by VuFind.
- A new SuperSearch discovery platform. Use SuperSearch to search across all library holdings, databases, and journal content, in addition to materials beyond what the library has. Users can explore topics, do faceted searching, identify peer-reviewed sources, and much more. Starting this summer, SuperSearch will be powered by EDS (EBSCO Discovery Services).
A new library services platform called FOLIO (the Future of Libraries is Open) will replace Millennium as the main library database. Library staff will use FOLIO to manage information about all library materials and user accounts.
