A Windows server called Blizzard that runs Microsoft SQL Server database system will be unavailable from 7 AM on Saturday, July 9th until 12 PM on Sunday, July 10th. The extended downtime is because of the complex nature of the maintenance work that will be carried out.
WANDA, and Pyramid which support various dashboards and reports related to student data will be unavailable during this time. Due to the interconnected nature of systems, several others such as SEQ Reporting, Alumnae Directory, and Alumnae password reset will also be unavailable during this time. It is also possible for other applications to be affected. When you connect to a web application that depends on this server during this period of time, the app will display “Unable to Access a Database Server”.
There is a chance that we may not need this entire time to complete the work and the system may be up earlier. We will post a service alert when the system is back up. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you.
