Zoom clients on all their devices must be updated to version 5.14.5 or higher by 02/03/24.

Zoom will require that all users have updated their version of the Zoom client software on their computers and mobile phones by February 3rd.  And if you don’t, you will not be able to join a meeting until you do. Please note that Zoom Client is different from the Zoom web portal on your browser. It is a software installed on your computers or phones. For details regarding the client software review this – LTS Zoom Install and Sign In page

Follow instructions provided here – update your Zoom client as soon as you can.  Not sure what version you’re using?  You can check your current version here.

To stay up to date you can also enable auto-updates from the Zoom application’s settings in the General tab. We strongly encourage you to turn on auto update to avoid having to remember to update the software.

Please contact the Help Desk if you need assistance with this important update (helpdesk@wellesley.edu or 781-283-3333).

01_08_24 Workday is experiencing intermittent issues

We have been alerted that Workday is experiencing intermittent issues due to a 3rd party provider of Internet Services. (ISP). Workday has routed all systems off that ISP now and services are recovering, so we should start to see an improvement. We will keep you posted as we continue to be updated by Workday.

Update: VPN is available

Our VPN infrastructure had a catastrophic failure yesterday. Cisco, our network vendor, was unable to help resolve the issue. The suggested solution required us to essentially start over, which is a very time consuming process. In the meantime, we have reactivated the previous VPN infrastructure which you can now connect to. You will notice that whereas you are still required to log in, it will not be the duo login prompt. It is also the case that mobile VPN users may see a warning about certificate. Click okay to accept the warning to connect.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this outage. Through the rest of today and the weekend our staff will be working to resurrect the failed hardware back. When they are back online we will send an update.

Update: VPN continues to be unavailable

We have identified the cause and are working with the vendor to  rectify. Unfortunately, it is not a fast fix, so the VPN  will continue to be unavailable, possibly for the rest of the day. We do apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. We will continue to keep you updated.
