Jewett currently does not have network connectivity, wired or wireless. A part is needed, and it may not be possible to resolve the problem until Monday. We will share information as we have it.
7/13 8pm Wireless is available. There is an issue with wired connections in Jewett; investigations will continue until it is resolved. Using VPN with non-Wellesley sites is noticeably slow — use VPN for Wellesley business, then disconnect for a speedier response.
4pm One-third of wireless and 90% of wired connections are available. Thank you for your continued patience — plan as we might, sometimes the network takes much longer to react than anticipated.
2pm VPN is available.
1:30pm Virtual desktops are available. Still working on VPN and wireless and the remaining wired connections that are unavailable.
1pm NTM and Vault are now available.
12:30pm Many services are available: MyWellesley, Banner, Directory, blogs, Drupal (college website editing) — Google apps and Sakai were not affected. Some services are unavailable: VPN, NTM, Vault, and others. On-campus, wireless and about half of wired connections are not available. This post will be updated with more accurate timing for the return of these services; at the moment, we’re estimating 3pm at the latest.

On Saturday morning, July 13, 5-11am, we’ll be doing work related to an improved NAC/Clean Access experience in the Fall.
If you’re on-campus, you won’t have access to anything that requires the internet. If you’re off-campus, you will have access to Google Apps, Sakai, and the college website, but not to MyWellesley, Banner, NTM, Vault, VPN, NolijWeb, Directory.
