How to change your domain password, now and after 4/30

Want or need to change your domain password? Go to https://reset.wellesley.edu. As of 4/30/2014, you won’t be able to use ctrl+alt+del to change your domain password on College-owned and maintained PCs, which includes office, lab, and public computers.

If you have a password that does not meet the requirements for a strong password, please change it. This is one of the best ways to protect both your data and the College’s. A reminder of what makes a strong password:

  • Has at least 8 characters.
  • Has at least three of the four character types:
    • Uppercase letter
    • Lowercase letter
    • Number (0 – 9)
  • Special character, e.g. ? $ # ( ) !
  • Does not contain words in any language, slang, dialect, jargon, etc., even if they are separated by numbers or special character (e.g. be87gin).
  • Does not contain repeated characters or a sequence of keyboard letters (e.g. qwerty, 12345, or yyy99).
  • Does not contain any part of your name, username, birthday, or social security or those of your friends and family (e.g. Jill1030).
