- 2/1, users of the Mac/PC Google Drive client for file sync will need to stay updated for file syncing to continue working. Version 1.27+ is currently supported.
- 2/8, anyone still using Chrome version 53 will begin seeing warnings about upgrading. Later in 2017, version 53 will no longer work with Gmail. For security reasons, please upgrade at your earliest convenience.
- 2/13, Gmail will block .js (JavaScript) file attachments. Gmail already blocks other file types (e.g. .exe, .bat); this is the latest secure measure.
